INVICTUS

El dirigente sudafricano supo involucrar al equipo por medio de su joven capitán François Pienaar. Esta es la historia que cuenta Invictus.

 It is a sorrow that those that being able to be wise persons are content with the mediocrity. Invictus is a good movie. A movie that narrates an epic, glorious exploit, of a sports event. It has many connotations and it is not to remain alone with the athletic glory. But what lamentation is that the excellent director as Clint Easwood there has not achieved to extract the maximum departed from a few magnificent wickers (today that it finds it hard to find so much good histories, good scripts). It seems to the director that it him forgot what precisely gives title to the work on which it is based. The human factor forgot him. Scarcely its hand is evident. The movie is very clean, without big devices and we help sat in the armchair more than two hours as if of a documentary it was talking each other. What is not precisely a demerit. But one asks for the Californian director more. Una película que narra una hazaña épica, gloriosa, de un evento deportivo. Tiene muchas connotaciones y no es para quedarnos solo con la gloria atlética.  Pero lo que lamento es que un excelente director como Clint Easwood no haya logrado sacar el máximo partido de unos magníficos mimbres (hoy que cuesta tanto encontrar buenas historias, buenos guiones). Al director parece que se le olvidó lo que precisamente da título a la obra en la que está basada. Se le olvidó el factor humano. Apenas se nota su mano. La película es muy limpia, sin grandes artificios y asistimos sentados en la butaca las más de dos horas como si de un documental se tratara. Lo que no es precisamente un demérito. Pero al director californiano se le pide más.

Yo soy un leguleyo pero me han comentado gente que de esto sabe que los golpes de castigo lo son. Vamos que está bien realizada y la ambientación es perfecta.

 Invictus is a parable on the birth of a nation. Behind there have stayed these facts that marked a historical stage full of disgrace. Merece la pena que la veamos aunque tan solo sea por reflexionar durante un momento que los negros, los habitantes de Sudáfrica, los nativos de un gran país no pudieron ejercer su voto hasta 1994.

 Finally, the poet William Ernest Henley escribío in 1875 a few poems. These poems served to Nelson Mandela to stay haughty in its sit-in.
