I file for September, 2009

It was finished to live to full hands

Lacerated hands,

hard hands,

cicatrized hands,

desperate hands,

tired hands of waiting,

hands that embroider the sleep,

anxious hands, calm hands,

serious hands as stones,

hands that yerguen beyond its neglect.

Hands that look alike very much

to these hard faces

of the hungry children

that other one times have appeared here.

Hands excited for working

without importing worrying predictions.

 Immigrant strawberry the country 18-04-09

He says very much this photo. It is not spectacular.

It is not necessary to attend on the foot of photo: "immigrant in expectation of being employed at the campaign of the strawberry”.

The author has not wanted to extract the face. The hands already show the desperation. A few hands that are done to work are out of place, are missed, hence its fingers interlace every hand does not get lost from his part.

Two immigrants are in what it seems to be an "illegal" establishment. To the fund a species of white shop receives its sleep, it will be better to say its efforts. A man is sitting, in a plastic chair, opposite to to the fire to prepare the meal.

These hands have little, very little that to take to the mouth.

We do not live already in the country of the plenty.

Be finished to live to full hands.

Small Indian canoe

WFotodenuncia-Publico-17-02It has just come to Spain in a small Indian canoe.

With the far-away look he wants to find the future.

Scarcely it is had in foot. He has bequeathed exhausted, moribund to the coast. The life has staked for the living carried out the sleep of trying to make in this country. In his it has nothing and nothing has to lose, well, only what he has left: the life. But: what is the life if you do not have any future?

For the time being it has managed to survive. How long?

I have found a poem of Benedetti that goes for title I hope that is according to the times and good it could comment illustrates the photo without much ado.

The time goes on to the margin of the people

and the people hide before this step

the world smells to fear and defeat

and the shame is already not innocent

we are in the Occident cracks

and the hope margin is so scarce

that the red wine does not fit in the glass

and if one feels it is small what he feels

the secret bandoneón between curtains

he silences of sleep and doubts

and it makes a mistake with what he remembers

I hope that wakes up of its ruins

and I offered to us its naked notes

before this world does shit to itself.

Choral movie

that spends 7 to themI go from last week turning on a movie That happens to the men (He's Just Not That Into You). He wanted to count something of her but it was not finding very well the thread which pulling. The life continues its course, not for. This weekend I came to the movies to see Fat persons, the last movie of Daniel Sánchez Arevalo, the same director of AzulOscuroCasiNegro, its prime opera (a big movie, certainly). And also he wanted to tell them something on her. But in the head they were following me turning the images of the previous one. At once the inspiration came to me and at once I started pulling the thread. That happens to the men and Fat persons has enough points in common. One of them and main the fact is that both are what is named like choral movie.

A choral movie is that in that there happens a series of histories (it can change being the habitual thing between three and six) that intermingle between themselves to converge and to constitute in its set a solid history. It needs a major number of main actors whose voices are overlapping to form a big choral melody. Hence its name. It is a choral movie because it unites a few histories with a common plot thread. In the development of the movie the personages seemingly it has nothing in common but a moment comes, the plot draft comes, that by means of an incident, of a moment, of a circumstance, the personages take the same direction. Cartel

At first this type of movies usually disorients you: many personages are appearing by the screen and we do not find a clear plot thread. This happens to us because they do not answer to the classic structure style in the script: exposition, knot and ending. They seem to contravene and to skip this structure. But if, after seeing the movie, we analyze the structure, we will see that they occur rarely he answers to this simple scheme.

There are very good examples. It would be long to enumerate them here. It put one of them upside down to the movie industry. It was Pulp Fiction of Quentin Tarantino. More nearby in the time we have two excellent examples: Crash of Paul Haggins (magnificent scriptwriter) and Babel of Alejandro González IñWEsquema-GordosAárritu.

But let's continue with the plot thread of this history, of two movies that now coincide with publicity board. There are movies that treat about love, another point together.

Gordos counts five histories that turn concerning the excess weight. The nucleus where from do they set off and where they come together is the consultation of a specialist or therapist. I leave here a small scheme (very simple) to you of how there interact the different personages who come together in Abel's persons that he is the professional to whom they come to know what is the reason for which they put on weight and this way to be able to catch the problem. The weight or excess weight is it of less. Fat persons he speaks about the love, about the fears, about the daily relation between persons, about the neeWEsquema-que-les-pasaAd to love and of being dear. That one so simple of boy / girl meets equal girl / or to me that he wants does not love me.

That happens to the men is another choral movie. He narrates the history of a group of persons, nine, who suffer for love. The point where the histories come together is a center of work (something like writing of the culinary world). Three coworkers tell themselves its troubles: Gigi, which takes the weight of the story, the emotional center, looks, its love and comes to all the appointments they appear before him; Beth has the perfect love, but: oh! it does not have a commitment, has not formalized a wedding, lives with its couple without having happened for vicaría.; Janine is happily married: happily? They appear in scenes friendly and loving. The physical space where the histories come together is the office but the starting point is in an axiom: If an uncle does not call a woman it is because he does not like. This comes to answer to this situation through that more or less we all have lived in some moment of our lives before the perspective of an appointment with another person. This doubt that corrodes you, the reason does not call me if the phone is spoiled, if anything has happened to him. Anyway, a sea of doubts that the protagonists try to answer along the movie. I leave here a small scheme to you of how it is related different you present yourself.

Gigi Beth y Janine

That him happens to the men is an interesting movie. Full of good dialogues, a comical point and a share-out of daydream. The script is written by the Sex scriptwriters in New York and this is a good letter of credence. Since it it is for Fat persons the fact that its director was already filming a magnificent prime work earlier said. This is another point together that there have these two more than correct movies. That happens to the men has a slightly attractive trailer, as if it was more of these silly American comedies. But no, it is an agreeable movie of seeing. On the contrary Fat persons it attracts. Either be for the fortunes for which several have had to go on from its actors to put on weight, either be for the innovation of the topic or for seeing the second movie of Sánchez Arevalo. Nevertheless: what he punishes! it has not gordos01_galeriaBigjust thrilled, although it has its "crumb".

The globalization of the black novel: Millenium

The summer is finished and the time finishes me to speak about the phenomenon Larsson and its series Millenium or as my graphic partner Forges says in this graceful vignette “the accordion” of the holidays. The time finishes me because there are already announced the new publishing innovations between which he emphasizes the work of Dan Brown The lost symbol (one million and a half copies will flood the bookstores!).forges 280809 Salander¡un millón y medio de ejemplares inundarán las librerías!).forges 280809 Salander

It did not have any intention of tackling the adventure of reading the saga. It was becoming the lazy one while he was doubting in the expediency or not of praising me for the best seller. The movie appeared on screen The men who did not love the women and I came to its premiere. The argument to that earlier I did not even want to listen now caught me. And I started reading the first volume. It changed to me the life, the literary life, but it changed it to me. It already only had eyes for Mikael Blomkvist and Lisbeth Salander. I extracted time to read from which earlier it was doing not existing. It was as if I was submerging in a black hole that was lengthening me the hours.

Very well, to what we go. Thanks to the fact that I saw the movie I could skip almost half of the first volume without any conscience charge because it was made to me an unbearable pelín. They had warned me about this circumstance and I do the same: skip this first half.

fondo_la-reina_1280x1024I came to the second volume The girl who was dreaming of a match and a jerry can of gasoline like the child who comes to the school in its first day after the holiday period. Larsson does a very quite worn small summary to you and in scarcely a few pages it puts you in flour. The second excellent volume. Excelente segundo tomo.

The queen in the palace of the air currents is the third one. With the aching eyes, with the pocket desangelado and already turned to the Larssismo I attacked its reading. It started badly. I turned out to be immersed in a few political events that although nearby in the time they catch from me little background (the murder of Olof Palme). The tocho of 800 pages can come down to the half. Skip, also, this first half (scarcely it contributes nothing to the main history). Later it is one without living, a constant schemes and an explosive end.

Summing up. Little interest woke up the saga of the Wanger to me with its tremendous genealogical tree, but when it appears in scene Salander the thing turned of radical form. All the second volume is very entertaining. And the third one exceeded me the first half. It cost me many ambientarme. The succession of names, places, streets, etc in Swedish they do not contribute to it. But perhaps this is a less evil. Me costó mucho ambientarme. Lisbeth Salander Noomi Rapace

Now my life has changed, the literary one. Now I am bereft of readings.

I have got fond of the black novel and they have spoken to me very well about Domingo Villar. Its last novel The beach of the drowned ones develops in Galician grounds, with more nearby sceneries and recognizable names. I already have on the small table water Eyes the first delivery of detective Leo Caldas protagonist of these two novels.

Perhaps my life changes again, literary skylight is.

Map of the sounds of Tokyo

Sensual guide of Tokyo.map - de-los-sonidos-de-los-sonidos-de-tokio-trailer-y-poster-en-espanol

There are movies that happen for the movies rooms and so-so. They contribute nothing. They disappear soon of the publicity board and, for those that we have seen them, its prompt negligence. It is not the case of Map of the sounds of Tokyo.

The argument is based on that one so simple and ancient as small it meets girl. You put the place that they want and they will have a history to be counted. But in this case the place is attractive and it acts like a magnet: the city of Tokyo. A man. David, of Spanish origin, has a shop wines in Tokyo. It has maintained a relation with Midori who decided to commit suicide. In the opposite side there is the woman Ryu, of fragile aspect, unsociable, which works in the nights on a fish market. The beginning happens of bland form until the young woman receives an order that it will put as regards David.

The scene with which it starts the movie I has been seen by me as if of a metaphor it was talking each other.

A group of businessmen is in a room ready to eat. Boisterous but with naturalness they take with its toothpicks sushi, sashimi and other delicacies that are deposited on the body of a naked woman.

The movie would be the naked woman (the map) on whom the director has been depositing its ingredients: the actors, the photo, the corners of the city of Tokyo, different events, and, all this, seasoned with sex. We would be the messmates that we enjoy these delights with good music like the ingredient that cannot be missing.

MapofthesoundsoftokyoA good recipe is prepared by good ingredients. A few good ingredients do not guarantee a good recipe. This is what it spends in Map of the sounds of Tokyo. The director has had a few good elements but it has not managed to upset the spectator.

The movie is a visual poem, and as the poetry is times that it is difficult to understand and most of the times are difficult that it pleases. Map … discovers to us a world different from ours, so attractive as exotic, but that in words of their own protagonist the men are equal of idiots in all the places.

When a recipe has remained tasteless we tend to throw salt to see if to the taste we like. I have the sensation that Coixet has done the same with its movie. It had enough ingredients as to please the spectator. But he knew that he had left tasteless and he decided for adding a happy, vacuous and meaningless end, reducing few credibility that he had left to the relation of the protagonists.

Nevertheless it is convenient to wander about the streets for this sensual map of Tokyo and to allow us to go for its music and its good photo to enjoy an agreeable and esthetic walk.IMG_5297
